He was born on 01.09.1959 in District Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh but studied in Delhi.

He passed out Higher Secondary Examination from Government Boys Senior Secondary School, Andrews Ganj, New Delhi; B.A. (Honours) from Desh Bandhu College, Kalkaji and L.L.B from Campus Law Centre, Delhi.

He joined Haryana Civil Services (Judicial Branch) on 16.04.1986, was promoted as Additional District & Sessions Judge on 25.06.2001 and designated as District & Sessions Judge on 19.10.2011.

He also remained posted as Member Secretary, Haryana State Legal Services Authority and as Principal Secretary to Hon’ble the Chief Justice, Registrar (Vigilance) and Registrar General in the High Court.

He was elevated as Additional Judge of Punjab and Haryana High Court, Chandigarh on 16.11.2018, was made permanent on 11.09.2020 and retired on 31.08.2021. 

He joined the National Green Tribunal, New Delhi as Judicial Member on 25.03.2022.
