Nimish Raja, Deputy Registrar at the Central Zone Bench of the National Green Tribunal is a Judicial Officer from the Madhya Pradesh Judicial Services (Senior Division).
Mr. Raja completed his B.A.LL.B. (Hons.) from National Law Institute University, Bhopal in the year 2009. While pursuing the Law degree, he also qualified the ‘Intermediate’ stage of the course of Company Secretary from Institute of Company Secretaries of India. After getting enrolled as an Advocate in Bar Council of Delhi, Mr. Raja started legal practice at variety of fora at the National Capital. Mr. Raja holds specialisation of in Anti-Dumping and Countervailing Duties under the WTO Laws.
Mr. Raja is also an Ubuntu-cum-CIS Master Trainer under the eCourts project. He has imparted training of CIS and Ubuntu to Judicial Officers and Ministerial Staff in several Districts of Madhya Pradesh.
He has written paper on ‘Poaching : an Environmental Crime’. He has been the National Winner of the ‘Stetson International Environmental Law Moot-Court Competition, 2007’.
Mr. Raja joined the Central Zone Bench, Bhopal on deputation in January 2020. He is in In-charge of E-Court, Video Conferencing and Technology. He has been repatriated to his Parent Cadre on 25.03.2022.
