Retired from the Central Government in October 2012 as Secretary to the Government of India. Thereafter served as Senior Consultant, Planning Commission in NovemberDecember 2012, for Environment, Forests and Climate Change issues. Appointed to the National Green Tribunal as an Expert Member on January 2, 2013 and his tenure ended on October 08, 2017.
